Making Toys for the Cats
Last night I started creating toys for the cats at the Cats Protection League. The Cats Protection League is a cat adoption service where they home cats at a centre until they find a home. This is for my William Pike Challenge and I am filling a box of pompom toys.
Mindfulness
Yesterday I went with a group to a Mindfulness session. We do this regularly and we get taught how to change our brains from red brain to green brain, breathing to calm down or relax, and heaps of other stuff. This week we learnt that we can change our brain tracks. This means we can learn to control what happens if our siblings make us angry for example. We also gave a partner a massage which was very relaxing. I also learnt some things I can do to calm down. For instance listening to music, reading a book, getting some exersize or do some breathing.

Waking me at my grandads farm
Playing in the grassy fields
Pieces of wood are my shields

Ice creams are a wonderful treat.

Maths
For maths this week I have been working on converting decimals, fractions and percentages to each other. An example is 2/5 as a percentage and decimal is 40% and 0.4. To do this you have to change the fraction to something over 100 and the just write the number in. It works with the same concept with the other way around except you might have to decrease it rather than multiply it.
Technology
Mechatronics
Today at tech I did Mechatronics first. We had to programe a robot to move to one point to another one. While we were controlling our robots to do that, we also had to avoid the craters and volcanoes which were spots on the ground. I had Lila as my buddy and we completed the challenge.Sewing
In sewing I am creating a environmental messsge bag. This means it is a bag with a message on it so people can recognize the impact on the environment. My bag has the message, Don't let this happen and some dolphins with plastic caught around them.
