Cheerleading and the WPC

At school we are doing the William Pike Challenge. For this we have to complete 20 hours of community service, 20 hours of passion projects and 5 EOTC activities. I have already completed 1 EOTC challenge and we have started our passion project. Our passion project has to be something we haven't done before. We have never done cheerleading so that's what I'm am doing with some of my friends. I am so xcited because we might even support the school sports teams.

Fitness with Tyres

For fitness this morning we had to run with tyres to the line and complete several things. One time one person had to run to the line with the tyre, drop it, jump in, then out, and run the tyre back to their team-mate. Next round it was two people and so on. The last tyre activity was doing what was already done, then move onto the next persons tyre and repeat.

After fitness we came back into class and did zumba. For zumba we did a warm-up from a youtube video and then learnt the cupid shuffle  and the electric slide. These were so exciting and fun to learn and once you learn the dances, they get stuck in your head and stay there.

Did you know doing fitness helps you get through the day without crashing down and being tired.

Camp Reflection For Blog -

Spencer Park Camp.
Our school senior camp was at Spencer Park. To get there we had to travel on bikes
through the forest and sand dunes. It was tough and before we left I thought I wouldn’t be capable
of doing it. But I was wrong. I showed resilience and kept on going even when it was hard and tough.
My motivation was that I knew when I finished, I would be at camp. I succeeded and finished the bike
ride feeling proud and strong of myself. I shared empathy with my friend Zara when she fell off her bike.
She ended up behind and when we stopped and Zara caught up with us, we asked her how she was
and congratulated her for carrying on instead of giving up. I have grown by practising for the ride and
getting fit before-hand. If I hadn’t practised or showed resilience and kept going, I would’ve been stuck.
Integrity is another value I showed. When Sharon went back to help some other kids, we just followed
the track and pink ribbons Mr Redmond put up to show us the right way to go.

When I got there we put up our tent. It was pretty simple because it was a pop-up tent so
we just clicked the poles into place and it was done. The problems and struggles with that was
that when we were putting our luggage inside the tent, our tent collapsed on us. I had to get the
teachers help to put it back up. We got out but then later, the same thing happened again. We found
out the fly cover on the tent was not on properly. Anyways, we got it fixed and had fun in it. We also
had to cook our own meal. We had wraps and did not need to cook anything in an oven.

Fitness

Today in fitness we ran around the bike track. We had to have a team of three and spread ourselves out around the track. We each ran to the next person and then they ran and so on. Afterwards we came inside and did 10 burpees. Burpees are when you jump, put yourself in a crouch and do a push up.

Doing burpees regularly is better for getting yourself fit, rather than running a 5km run.

This is Just to Say...

This is my poem. William Carlos Williams wrote a poem and I just changed the words.
