My Creative Dad

My dad has blue eyes that shine when he looks at me and his brown hair flows nicely over his head and has a touch of grey through it. He is tall and stretches up like a giraffe and towers above me. What my dad normally wears is track pants, a nice t-shirt covered with one of his favourite jerseys.

If me and my family are playing sport outside my dad normally wins because he is very fast like a lightning bolt flying through the air. My dad also tells very funny jokes and makes me laugh so hard that I have to go and get a drink, another thing he does is play tickle games with me and my brothers. My dad is nice and makes me smile all the time as well as when he reads me bedtime stories. My dad makes me feel special because I think he is unlike any other dad because he does lots of cool things.

When I stay with my dad sometimes I get upset or sad so he cheers me up by playing a game with me that I like. He also tells me cool bedtime stories and supports all of my sport such as school sport and gymnastics. When my dad has to go to work he asks if we want to go and if we do he gives us some money.

My dad normally wears his sunglasses or has them on top of his head. Something else my dad wears is his track pants which are black. I love it when my dad tells funny jokes because they make me laugh lots. For tea my dad cooks delicious meals and gives us yummy dessert.

I love my dad.

Takahe

The Takahe is an endemic bird and is related to the Pukeko. It has a round, blue body which is dotted with green at the back and about the size of a chicken. Takahe also have short red legs and tiny black eyes. The Takahes beak is a red beak that is pretty sharp. It is also flightless like the Kiwi, another special bird and it can lay eggs. Takahe birds also have separated toes and white tail feathers. The Takahe is a vegetarian so it only eats grass and plants. The noise of the Takahe is a high pitched screech. When this amazing bird eats it is always watching everything and turns its head to eat and pick up the food. Takahe is sadly at risk of becoming endangered.
