Careers
I took a quiz about careers and at the end it gave me some careers that might suit me. Here are three plans I have for when I leave high school. Here are the three jobs I most like.
Police Officer
These are the skills I will need: knowledge of police policy and procedures, the legal system and community support services, skills in observation, skills in interviewing, problem solving and negotiation.
Paramedic
These are the skills I will need: good knowledge of pre-hospital emergency care, knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the human body, knowledge of medications and treatments, excellent driving skills, knowledge of the geographical area they work in, the ability to use technical equipment such as cardiac defibrillators, empathy in dealing with people and an appreciation of different cultures.
Early Childhood Teacher
These are the skills I will need: different teaching methods and learning styles, Te Whāriki, the early childhood curriculum, how to plan lessons and evaluate childrens' progress, behaviour management techniques, such as establishing boundaries and rewarding positive behaviour, safety and emergency procedures, food preparation and hygiene, child learning and development, and early literacy and numeracy.
I think I will enjoy whatever of these I choose, or any more I choose to do
