On Thursday, the 23rd of April I made ANZAC poppies to remember ANZAC day.
To make these plastic poppies you will need:
- The bottom part of a plastic bottle
- A tealight
- A chopstick or something to use as a poppy stalk
- Some sort of glue (I used a hot glue gun)
- An adult’s supervision
First cut the bottom part of a bottle off so you have a cup sort of thing. Now colour the bottle in appropriate colours (red with a black centre). Cut the rounder, more pushed in bits, to a petal shape. Next light the candle. Hold the bottle slightly above the candle until it pops the petal in slightly. Now you should have a poppy.
Now your poppy is done you need to attach a stick as a stalk. Just glue the poppy and stick the stick to it.
You should now have a poppy to represent and remember ANZAC day!
