At school we have been doing science experiments. I made hokey pokey.
Here is my info graphic on hokey pokey. Hokey Pokey Info graphic
Ingredients You Need:
• 1/2 cup of sugar
• 1/4 cup of golden syrup
• 2 teaspoons of baking soda
Equipment Needed:
• Saucepan
• Wooden Spoon
• Airtight Container to store your Hokey Pokey
Directions:
1. Place sugar and golden syrup in a saucepan and bring to the boil. (Stir the mixture consistently or else it will set)
2. Take the saucepan of the stove and quickly add in the baking soda. Be quick or else the mixture will once again set.
The mixture will foam up once the baking soda is stirred in.
3. As soon as the mixture foams up, pour the mixture into your airtight container.
4. Let it cool down with the lid on.
5. Enjoy!
For this experiment I found out that the when the baking soda joins with the other mixture it is making another molecule.
